The whiskey matured for a good 5 years (cask 394) in a Refill Port Cask in the Tropical Garden at the Tropical House Frutigen.
Nature
Port wine called port for short, is a red, rarely also white, sweet wine. It comes from the Alto Douro region in Portugal's Douro Valley. Depending on the quality and facilities, it is vinified according to different processes, resulting in different styles, degrees of maturity and quality levels.

Reverberation
The storage facility in the tropical garden, with high humidity and warm temperatures, gives the whiskey a particularly voluminous body. The maturation under these conditions leads to a complex aroma game with a very long finish.
Nase
Smell
Vine floral intense aroma with a strong bouquet of oak. Pear elderberry compote as well as ripe caramelized fruits also characterize this whiskey. With a little water, the whiskey literally explodes in its fruitiness.

A pleasantly soft full-bodied attack. The whiskey impresses with its cuddly sweetness of malt caramel and dark ripe fruit. The reverberation is very long-lasting with an intense dry spiciness.
